Support for Sports Clubs

The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) applies to all sports clubs throughout the UK. It is therefore important that clubs have some understanding of the impact this act will have on them.

It is now very important that your club is disability friendly and has made ‘reasonable adjustments’ so that it is inclusive. This does not mean that you have to spend a lot of money, the legislation looks at what is reasonable for you as a club to provide.
